Mike, it’s besides the problem but I’m going to try using my timer in manual program mode instead of trying to use smart watering. I’m amazed in the number of software errors smart watering has and software is my field of study. I believe I once listed 15 problems that I had with smart watering. Some have been addressed in the last 6 months but there are still many in the system.

I’ve the same problem. After one of the hardest rains we’ve had it was watering the following morning. I almost always have to use manual rain delay. Also when it wants to water 4 days out of a 5 day stretch – like today.

I got the same problem. We’re having (this very minute) one the hardest rain we’ve had this year but my unit was watering this morning for at least 4 hours. What a waste of money and water. And yes, the rainfall was in the forecast. I’m using the local airport for weather since it’s very reliable.
Doesn’t water when it should… waters when it shouldn’t.
Come on guys, the app has been hardly functioning for many months.
PS: I have 2 of the 12 station BHyve systems.

Had two updates but still got problems with the iPhone app.
The app shows it’s going to water at 6AM (in my case) but doesn’t water.
    Same thing the next day.
On the third I manually water all the zones (10).
Next morning the system waters all the zones.

This issue really needs to be fixed. We watch our grass and plants die so we kick it to manual.
    Please fix this.

Madskier, I’d like to hear your review of the Rachio. What you say is very true – the yard investment is much higher.
    1) Does the Rachio support rotator heads? I have 2 stations with them.
    2) A concern I have (in addition to the ones listed above) is that all my stations water about the same amount of time. Before the current version a station with 1/2 GPH drippers ran the same time as my rotary heads. I even tried faking the soil, sun and spray head types in order to improve run times. It made little difference. Actually my drip lines are running less time now!

    TIA,

I have two of these controllers so buying the other brand at CostCo is something I don’t want to do at this time (although it’s on sale right now). It’s $50 off the CostCo price.

The app doesn’t have one issue… I listed 11 in the original post. How can it not be fixed in more than a month? I used to do software development and support and I’ve never seen a fix take this long… nor this many problems in a general release.

It’s extremely frustrating sitting and waiting so long for a fix. I could switch to manual watering but if that’s the case I could have kept my last controllers. And I’m not sure manual watering would avoid all the problems that I’m currently having.

They should offer the option to run prior apps if repairs take many weeks to implement. When I called support I offered to beta test these apps but I don’t think they use beta testers.

I’m the op on this thread. I’ve gotten two app updates and currently on 1.10.1 but I’m still having the problems listed on the original post.

I think we have a troll amongst us…
Must be bored with SIP conditions.

Apart from no HomeKit my recently updated app (1.9.1) has got a lot of problems.

I’ll trying calling support again on the app. Last time I called support they had no knowledge on the HK feature.

I still want HomeKit for my system. I’m really into that eco system.

Btw, my local big box store… the orange one… still has a large ad claiming HomeKit capatibility for the BHyve.

My weather hasn’t updated for weeks (or months). It keeps showing 103º F.
I’ve tried redoing my address and trying many different weather stations. Still no update.

Perhaps a firmware update will fix the problem.
