Where do I see how much water I’ve used? The main reason I purchased the hose faucet timer (actually, 4 of them) is to monitor consumption based on the hose faucet’s claim of: “Know the Flow: Detailed reports tell you how much water you’re using, when you’re watering and how much you’re saving.” I am frequently out of town and need to monitor usage; in the event my water consumption skyrockets (indicating a failure which is pretty common with irrigation systems), I would have someone go to the property to manually turn off the spigots. When I go to History, it simply tells me the date/time I watered and for how long; there is no consumption information. My apologies if this information is somewhere obvious and I’m not seeing it.

@hruegg, our bhyve hose faucet timers do measure water consumption, however it doesn’t keep the data for display. It just has it when it runs for smart watering purposes. I apologize for any confusion there may have been with this product.

Thanks – I see where to view the data during a watering event. Would it not be beneficial to record this data in History? That way we could see consumption without having to watch our phones every time a watering event happens. Since the data is already being monitored it doesn’t seem like it would take much to send it to History?

Also, is there a trick to ensuring the consumption is reported accurately? I did separate test runs of my 4 systems yesterday (40 minutes each); they are all soaker hose setups with roughly the same amount of hose on each, yet the total consumption at the end of each 40 minutes showed widely varying amounts: 5.2 gallons, 25.25 gallons, 1.28 gallons, and 1.67 gallons.

I too purchased this device specifically for the claimed water metering:

“KNOW THE FLOW – Your B-hyve’s built-in flow meter allows you to track water usage”

That statement would lead any reasonable person to believe that the software keeps track of actual water usage in gallons passing the flow meter, not minutes the valve is open. I highly recommend your marketing department revise their sales literature to avoid misleading customers.

I purchased this product for use with an on-demand water valve, so in my application the B-Hyve’s valve will be open 24 hours per day, but I need B-Hyve to collect flow meter data for it to be of any use to me. Back to Amazon it goes, I suppose.

This is something that will be added into a future version of the app.

Thanks, any idea when? I returned my unit, so this forum is my only way of knowing when the feature is added.

Any update here? Tried a competing device but had mixed results, still in the market for a wifi water metering solution.
