ParticipantI am on my second B-Hyve timer, I have set the program and used both smart watering and no smart watering. The timer does not work on a consistent basis, I always have to wake up to make sure it is running. Can you please help? Also could you please update my firmware? MAC address is – 44:67:55:01:87:9B.

Not sure what might have caused this, unless lots of rain delays are frequent in your area.
I see you are now only using custom watering, this should be pretty reliable unless your rain delay settings are still to sensitive.
You can fine tune when automatic rain delays will be set. Go to Settings – Devices – select your device & scroll down to Weather Adjustments. From there you can set the percent and amount of rain forecast before a rain delay is set. If you want it to be more sensitive lower the values and if you want it less sensitive increase the values.I have also pushed an update to your timer, it was a few versions behind.
Let us know if you have any more issues.
Thank you!

ParticipantHi, I am having similar issues… my timer will not complete a program consistently. Even though the program is set to run for 40 min, it will stop suddenly after a random duration (2 min, 12 min, <1 min, etc). I had the firmware updated to 00032 last week hoping that it would be resolved. But unfortunately, it has not. Related to the above suggestion about rain delay threshold, I can’t see that as being part of my issue… it’s currently set to 30% or 0.125″, and we haven’t had any measurable rain accumulation for 4 weeks. Because I can’t rely on the timer, I have resorted to disabling all of the programs, and am manually turning the valves to water the lawn. Please help.

KeymasterWe have seen one other instance where watering restrictions and set start time was limiting programs to 1 minute, this would only be possible if you are using pure smart watering.
@RLINGMAN – What is your timer’s last six digits of the MAC Address? I’ll take a look at it from here.
@ROFO – Have you seen any change in your timer’s watering?Spread the love!August 9, 2018 at 6:08 pm #5822rlingmann
ParticipantHi Josh, thanks for the reply. I started seeing the issue while using smart watering. I disabled it and tried using a standard program. But the issue continued.

I updated your timer to v33, it’s the very latest we have.
If you would be willing go ahead and re-enable your custom watering programs and let’s see if it will run them.
Thanks!

ParticipantHi Josh,
Program 1 ran properly this morning (2 zones for 40 min each, starting at 6:00 am). Then program 2 stopped short (same 2 zones, supposed to run for 40 min each, starting at 7:30). Zone 1 ran for 23 min, and zone 2 stopped at <1min.Spread the love!August 13, 2018 at 10:51 pm #5944Josh Wheeler

Okay, that is not expected for sure.
Could I ask you to please create a support case so that this does not fall through the cracks?
If you could send and email to [email protected] with as much info as you can and even a link back to this thread is good too.
This will start a support ticket for you and a way for us to better track the progress. This way if we decide the unit is faulty we can get you a replacement too.
Thank you!
