ParticipantI’m trying to confirm whether I have smart watering configured correctly. I’ve tested all the zones, and set smart metering on them, but I still have no programs scheduled. All zones have been flagged for Smart Watering, and have Smart details entered. When I add a manual program, it tells me that it could conflict (so the manual programs are off now).
How can I verify that smart watering is actually on, and is it possible that nothing is scheduled because it’s winter or something silly like that?
Under Programs view in the app, it says “Smart Watering: ON” but I notice the blue circle has a light bulb that is also blue. I’ve seen other screenshots where the light bulb is yellow on its own. Does this indicate it’s not setup properly?

KeymasterWith the new update we’ve just sent out to smart watering, it will appear differently. The system looks at the forecast two weeks in advance and will set a program based off that. It will then update on a regular basis and create a program if needed, but only within 1 week of watering. If you can provide me with the MAC address of your timer, I’d be happy to look up your timer to make sure Smart is set up properly.

ParticipantHi! I am having the same problem. No Smart watering schedule is shown as going to start (and I get the error as well if I try to do a regular program). What is the answer?

ParticipantSame problem. All active zones are set to smart watering but no next start time is indicating. The MAC address of my device is 44:67:55:02:42:2C
Doesn’t seem like the timer is planning on doing anything???
HELP!

Keymaster@Paul I’ve looked at yours, and it definitely seems like there is something not working in yours. I’m going to look at it with my team and see if we can figure out what is going on with it.
@Hostlebro I’ve looked at yours and it created and ran a program for you yesterday. However, the moisture balance levels show that your timer won’t need to run within the next week so no program is created.
Keep in mind, the timer only creates programs a week out, although it is constantly monitoring and will create a new program as needed. So if your moisture balance is going to be drained and low within 7 days, it’ll create a program. If not, then no program will be created.

ParticipantStephen. I now see the Smart Watering scheduled events on my calendar. Was there something I did wrong in the setup or did it need a tweak from you? Thank you for your quick support.

ParticipantI just saw that it scheduled smart watering today. So this has been resolved on its own. We had rain last weekend so I guess it must have waited for the soil to actually need watering? Pretty cool…

ParticipantSmart watering seemed to be working fine then just lost it’s mind. I’m now seeing every zone run 3 and 4 times per day as late as 1pm. Firmware is at ver 0033 currently. I do also notice I see more choices/things in the android app than via the html dashboard too.

ParticipantHaving it run multiple times is normal for smart watering if you like I can check your timer still. however I would need your mac address.

ParticipantHere is the MAC 44:67:55:00:ee:8c
I’m sure it’s in need of a f/w update. Is there a way I can run f/w updates locally?

ParticipantTo update your wi-fi setting yo can do so in the app, you would need to put your timer into pairing mode, and then go to settings> devices> select your device> update Wi-Fi settings. As for your timer everything seems to be in order. You may want to add restrictions for watering times. Under each zones smart details you can edit the runtime and watering intervals by selecting watering schedule adjustments.
