I have searched and not found this anywhere, and if no one replies I will take it private and see if support will respond.

I think the timer is a great product for the money with ambitious goals.

I like the smart watering concept and would like it to automatically adjust my schedule based on the season and weather. But am starting t think it really only works on a lawn using sprinklers.

I have a drip zone that has a large amount of Lantanas. I have been using the smart watering, and adjusting the settings. However, the Lantana are struggling. After a lot of research, it seems from experts in my location, Phoenix AZ, that they need 2 to 5 gallons every other day during this hot season and maybe twice a week at other times.. It is apparently important that they ‘dry out’ between waterings, then need the deep watering.

I cannot set any settings in the smart watering that will approach that length of time for watering. And even when I get the time somewhat longer, I cannot then get it to only water at most every other day.

Is this something I should be able to accomplish?

For now I have reverted to a program schedule which will require water budget tweaking as the seasons progress.

I’ve had to resort to “Watering Schedule Adjustments” in the “Smart Details” for each zone to manually adjust either the interval or the watering time.

The problem is I need it to water about 2.5 hours every other day. I suppose I could replace the drip heads with a larger flow rate.
Currently, using the smart settings, the longest I can get it to go before using the schedule adjustments is around 56 minutes. I can’t adjust it high enough from that to reach the 2.5 hours. Nor will it then allow a day or more between watering.

That is the schedule I need to follow according to regional experts.
