I have several issues, hopefully can get answers to a few of them, and some have changed behavior with the latest firmware upgrade.
I tried to use catch cups under the emitters to check uniformity of water distribution and hoped that the water produced could be used to determine the application rate.

I get 100 ml in 2 minutes from the 1/Gal per hour emitters I am using as the base. Each shrub has an emmiter, so I am using 1 foot square as the doveraged. All the online calculators want the line pressure, but If I know how much water is coming out, I don’t think I need the line pressure.

    I am using 1.5 inches/hour.

    This leads to part 2:

Using the app in the “Advanced Details” section, I enter that number and the Plant efficiency to 0.6.
When I click “Done”, they reset to their original values.

    Why?

Sometimes I see changes to the run times if I kill the app and restart it. Why?

This also seems to cause the zones that are part of a program slot to disable themselves even though the zone in question is not part of the program slot. It is either that, or accessing the online web version while trying to follow some instructions given to the community might have done it even though I did not make any changes there. Why?

I would like to add/amend my original post. Even though this doesn’t operate in an expected way, I think it still works.

When editing smart water advanced settings, the value is not accepted until you select a different field.
The values that you set will not appear in subsequent viewing, you need to notate them somewhere separately.

What works best for me is to modify one value, navigate all the way back out to the calendar and observe the new calculated run times there.
