Hello mroe11517, sorry but they lowest setting for a zones interval adjustment is every day. However depending on the length of the estimated duration it will break it up into a maximum of 4 start times. Also I’ve take a look at your system and it looks like you will want to reenter your catch cup information for more accurate readings. currently they may be throwing off your system. Before entering in your new data please read the instruction manual, and watch the video under “Need a walkthrough?” to ensure that you record accurate reading. This is found in the catch cups page under each zones smart details.

You’re probably right. I need to re-do the catch cups. Some of them I had out of place and not two foot from the heads so it came up with uneven watering. But can’t find the “Walk through video” cam you show link?

I just installed my second BHyve timer, for my back yard, and am trying Smart Watering rather than fixed watering scheduling. Some questions arise using the app for my IPhone:

1-the timer doesn’t seem to make any adjustment as to the # of drip heads that I enter for a drip line. Or does it?
My drip lines are long on a big lot and include a mix of shrubs, bushes, flowers, and sometimes trees.

2-the timer sometimes doesn’t allow me to change a watering run time for a valve even after I’ve entered the pertinent soil, plant type, watering (sprinkler, drip, etc), # of watering heads (drip, etc), and then make adjustments on the slider bar for intervals and for run times. It will make a change but if I increase the 25% of run time, then I go to the first screens and see that the time, such as 11 minutes run each for 4 times, didn’t change. Why is that?

Hello mroe11517, Gladf you got it worked out. Also there is a link to the catch cup video as well as the instructions in the app under the catch cups page. Click on the pdf file icon and the youtube video icon.

rfrance1, For a drip system there is not much of a difference for the amount of heads on your line. They are currently working on improving the smart settings for drip systems. The slide bars will revert back to their original position once you’ve left that page. This is because it allows for further adjustments from the setting that your previously entered. Which is displayed at the top of the watering schedule adjustments page under estimated duration, and in the calendar under estimated intervals. The calendar shows the number of days between each scheduled watering for each month.
By the way do you have any catch cup information entered? Also could I have your mac address. Thank you.

Thanks Ryan for all your help………….
I’ve redid my catch cups as you suggested, now each lawn zone’s moisture content shows between 80-100%, should the smart water system start to back down on length of watering presentably it has each lawn zone scheduled between 12-20 minutes granted they are doing it in small increments like 3 time at 7 minutes. Now it seems like its watering to much. What do you think?

Hello mroe11517, That sounds fairly typical to me, but if you feel it’s too long you can just decrease the runtime under watering schedule adjustments. If you have any other questions on how to use the watering schedule adjustments page please let me know.
