ParticipantI can’t log in to the app, password reset is not accepting the codes that get sent. What is going on folks? You all have a status page?

ParticipantSame problem here.
Why in the world would the app need to connect to Orbit’s server to see my timer on my network?

ParticipantSo one would think they have an on call team for this kind of thing. I work in SaaS and this sort of outage with no updates or status would pretty much be the apocalypse.

ParticipantWell the server is back up. Would be nice to get an explanation of what went on. I am having no end of trouble getting this system to work and I am an effing network engineer. If it doesn’t get working tomorrow I think I may scrap the whole thing 🙁

ParticipantI am very disappointed. I bought the bluetooth-only versions of the faucet timer because my location does not always have internet available. I was under the impression that the bluetooth-only version would be able to work offline just between the phone and faucet timer. When the orbit/b-hyve server went down yesterday, sure enough I couldn’t use my phone to control the timers anymore. I will be returning the timers unless there’s a response from orbit/developers that they plan to implement offline-capability into their app and device. It’s 2018, offline and no-cloud farm/irrigation equipment is a selling point used by many companies, let the farmer own their equipment.

ParticipantThis is crap, two days off completely useless app. I paid ten times the price so I could use the app. A response from orbit is required.

ParticipantSuper sorry I trusted Orbit to sell a reliable wifi timer and to run a forum and website that no one mans during a weekend. this outage was a huge headache and i have dealt with other wifi devices like my thermostat from Honeywell they would give email notifications of planned or unplanned outages not just leave you hanging
hell I couldn’t even get on to this forum untill a few hours ago so I am glad someone was cool enough to start the outage postsOrbit’s Facebook is as dormant as this place on weekends
a little notification would have saved me a lot of dinking around on my end had I know it was the product that failed me and not something on my end

KeymasterWe apologize for your frustration over the weekend with connecting to our servers. We had a server outages due to the large quantity of people trying to connect to the servers at the same time. Steps have been taken to prevent this from happening in the future. Please let us know if you experience any other issues with your timer.

ParticipantHello Everyone,
Recently there was a server interruption that caused the login issues you were all experiencing. It has since been resolved, but it’s still continuing for your device(s) try a hard close of the app. Once you’ve reopened it you should be logged in to your account. If not please let us know. Thank you all for your patience, and feedback!Spread the love!July 14, 2019 at 5:26 pm #77821happyvalley
