I’m on my second timer and still cannot get it to water. I have 6 zones and when I either start a program or test any zone, my volt meter shows voltage on every zone. I’m replacing a Hunter X-Core system that has a rain sensor and Soil-Clik. I did not hook up either of them and left the jumper across the sensor terminals. Although, the Soil-Clik sensor is still wired out in the yard. I tried removing one leg of the sensor from the common, but same results. Any ideas?

    Hi Meranda,

I did call your support line, but they were not much help and told me to return the unit for a new one or they would send me a replacement. I did replace the unit but had the same issue. In the end I did more troubleshooting and found that a had a bad wire. This timer seems more sensitive to resistance over the original timer from a different manufacturer.

A tip for someone that may run into this in the future… This timer seems to have some logic to send power to all zone terminals if it thinks that no zones are connected or has high resistance.

    Hey RJ,
I apologize for the issues you’ve had with your timer. Thank you for your feedback. I found out from our tech team that the timer has a new fault detection system and will send voltage to each terminal. If it detects there is something attached to that terminal, it won’t send any voltage out. If it doesn’t have anything attached (or in your case, a bad wire) then it’ll appear that voltage is being sent out constantly.
