ParticipantI am very disappointed to experience similar issue. I have installed my unit about 2 weeks ago and since than not a single watering was triggered something I just noticed yesterday. I can start any zone manually, but it wont start on its own. I have a little wiggle room here. If this is not fixed very soon, your timer is going back to Amazon. This failure at the most basic functionality is not acceptable.

ParticipantI called orbit on Friday, waited on hold for a while. The support tech was good and responsive. He logged into my machine using their back end system and he could see that when I turned on a the program that it was shutting off automatically. He had me turn on and off smart watering, which I did and while he was logged in, it started working. He stayed on while we ran through some tests.
Ever since my timer has worked perfectly. The support tech wasn’t sure what fixed the problem.
I think that it somehow reset the server connection when he got into it on the back side.
For other people posting, I’ve had my timer going on the 3rd season. I’ve never had a problem like this and It has been running fine since.
It is a busy season for Orbit, but call support and visit with them. You may have better luck.

Keymaster@HancockLDH, have you noticed your app saying anything about a Rain Sensor delaying your program? Looking at your timer, I show no error messages and I show that the system is running just fine.
@Ranbato, I show that your timer is no longer connected to the internet. I’ve updated those and they are now connected, I’ve also repaired teh connection. Both programs are currently disabled, but you should be able to enable the correct program.
@Deltarunner, hold down the Rain Delay button for 3-5 seconds and this should turn off the rain sensor terminals and resolve the issue.Spread the love!May 8, 2018 at 3:14 am #1496Ranbato
ParticipantLooks like it is working now, thanks.
Can you share the root-cause analysis why it thought it wasn’t connected for automated programs but worked for manual?Spread the love!May 8, 2018 at 7:44 pm #1508apalmer
ParticipantI have the same problem. I have a program in the system and I turn it to on. Then it at almost immediately turns to off and says at the bottom “these zones are never scheduled to water:” and lists out each of my zones. The exact zones (all of them) that are in the program I’m trying to turn on! So it’s useless right now because it won’t leave the program on!
I have Smart Watering turned off. And my MAC is 44:67:55:02:39:C8

ParticipantI’m having the same problem. When I turn program B on, it turns itself off after a couple of seconds. I can run the zone manually. Programs A and C work fine.

ParticipantI’m having the same issue. I see the automatic timer come on, the app thinks it’s running a cycle, but the sprinklers aren’t running. MAC address is 44:67:55:01:C7:7C
This problem started last season, but I didn’t think too much about it since it was at the end of the season. Any fix to this problem?

ParticipantI don’t know if this will be helpful, but your problem sounds a little different. In mine, it is a problem with the program. It will not stay on, never says it is running and when you turn it on, it turns itself back off a few seconds later. Your problem may be something else. I would check that your wiring and solenoid are okay.

Participant@jerikramer, I’ve checked your system and your b program is now enabled. Let me know if you have any other issues involving this.
@apalmer, I’ve just updated your firmware so do a power cycle on your timer (cutting it from the power source), and then re-pair it. If you are still experiencing the issue please send us and email at [email protected]@Dennimonsewicz, please call our product support line for further assistance 1-800-488-6156 option 1 for tech support.

ParticipantI am having the same problem. Switching smart on and off did not fix the problem.
After troubleshooting it appears that, although slots A and B still say they are linking to their respective stored programs, they aren’t really. For example, for slot A, i was able to tap the slot, tap replace, then tap the same saved program and it worked!
… BUT, slot For a slot B, the respective program was completely corrupt. I had to tap Edit and re-enter all the program settings. Also of note, before fixing this, I went to the physical unit and found that the budget for A and B were set to 0% — I assure you they were all 100% and working before the problem happened. I also had to set them back to 100%, though that itself was not the fix. Overall it seems that the program slots and saved programs were simply corrupt.
If you care to inspect my unit, my Mac is: 44675501b320 (firmware 0031)

ParticipantThe program selected on my app is turning off automatically, sometimes about 3 seconds after I turn the program on and sometimes when I move off the screen and come back. I have cycled my power and also completed multiple hard resets and re-pairing. Please fix!!!!!!

ParticipantHeretic555,
Try what I did – tap the program itself (not the switch) and then “replace” and tap your stored program. That worked for one of mine. The other I had to go further…
Tap the program and hit edit. If the program is wrong entirely (like mine was) it won’t turn on; you need to re-enter the criteria.-mike

ParticipantI am having the same issues. My programs will randomly turn off on their own and over the winter, when everything is turned off, the top program will randomly turn on, even though I have turned it off multiple times. It will also consistently say “Your device is offline” even though the Wifi signal strength is high next to the device (tested on my iPhone).
