Was hoping that we might see some integration with Google Assistant / Home. Alexa is good, but I prefer Google Assistant and I’m sure many others do too. If you can’t, maybe you can open up an API so developers can develop an unofficial solution?Spread the love!November 28, 2017 at 11:38 pm #459nametbdParticipant
I would also like to request an app be developed for Google Home. I have an echo dot as well, but I’m switching to Google completely.Spread the love!December 8, 2017 at 5:11 am #478bsp9493Participant
Wondering if there are any details on an api that i can use to integrate this device into my home automation system?
Are there any commandline/http options i can use until an api is available

I’m jumping in on this request. If not home what about supporting IFTTT?Spread the love!December 21, 2017 at 8:04 pm #531caffeinejoltParticipant
Jumping in on request too – this would be great! Just got my system installed and so far so good – but being able to “Hey Google… water the garden” would rule.Spread the love!December 23, 2017 at 5:31 am #532BoothtmParticipant
I would like to jump on this band wagon too. Google assistant or IFTTT integration would open up a much larger audience for bhyve.Spread the love!December 28, 2017 at 8:00 pm #538
Thank you for all of these requests. We are currently working on adding more home automation to the Bhyve unit. Unfortunately, we have no set time frame for any of these.Spread the love!December 30, 2017 at 7:50 pm #544EndlessenderParticipant
I’m going to pile on here and also strongly request Google Assistant support. To be honest, I’m somewhat regretting my purchase now a bit and can’t wholeheartedly recommend this unit to others until it has Google Home support. Rachio has it, but I went with Orbit because it’s what I’ve always used since first becoming a homeowner. Thanks for listening and please consider prioritizing support for Google Home. Don’t let anyone in the boardroom say it’s not important to customers… because it is. 🙂Spread the love!January 1, 2018 at 6:23 pm #546bsp9493Participant
Agree 110%. Ive used orbit from day 1 due to flexibility and usability.
I am impressed with the b-hyve setup, but disappointed there is no api or home automation integration.
I would suggest though that there needs to be a generic interface, that is capable of interfacing with all automation options and let the community write or work on the specific ontegrations.
In the interim, http(s) access would help.
This would at least allow for simple control
Thank you for considering this input.Spread the love!January 2, 2018 at 3:56 am #552ForrestParticipant
Add me to the pile! Google home + IFTTT + b-hyve user here! Please integrate!Spread the love!January 2, 2018 at 5:40 pm #560rb1980Participant
I am a “smarthome enthusiast” and would also love to see additional integrations. I know they have said they are “planning on it”, but adding my voice here to hopefully stay updated on any developments. We know they already have an API because that would be a requirement for the Alexa integration, so this is purely a “marketing” limitation, not necessarily a technical one. I understand, those BD relationships take time, so I would suggest in the meantime: publish an API or make available upon request so we can at least hack around with “webhooks” or something until you get official integration with some of the other services out there. I would like to see: IFTTT, Stringify, Google Home/Assistant, SmartThings. (realizing that if you did one of the first two, the last two could become “supported” by way of their existing integrations with those services). Stringify is my current favorite.Spread the love!January 3, 2018 at 2:17 am #565raitchisonParticipant
Add me to the list of people who want to see Google Assistant support added to b-hyve.Spread the love!January 3, 2018 at 2:38 pm #569
Google Assistant is coming soon. It is one of our top priorities heading into 2018.Spread the love!January 24, 2018 at 3:58 am #644nikitawillisParticipant
Would integration with Google Home be a software update or new hardware required?Spread the love!February 6, 2018 at 4:17 pm #698
We are working to get it to work with just a software upgrade, but you may need to upgrade to our Gen 2 model which will release in the near future.Spread the love!
