I cannot connect to Orbit_SmartHome_XXXX. Would be helpful if the manual actually had the default connection settings. Is this a firmware update issue or why do my personal devices not connect to the Orbit_SmartHome_XXXX WiFi ???

Waited on the phone for customer service for 30 minutes on Friday May 11 but had to go do other things when no one ever answered. Waited again for 30 minutes on Saturday May 12th for customer service and no answer again. Would be nice if they gave an estimated wait time like other professional companies. I also tried the chat function and gave me an error = “The attempt to load the main is taking a long time. Attempting to load it will continue, but may not ever succeed”. Sounds like calling their customer service … also likely to never succeed. Thinking it may be time to return this item to Home Depot and order a Rainbird WiFi timer like I told my landscaper to do in the first place.

Finally got thru to customer service after an hour on hold. Ran thru all the easy troubleshooting steps with the customer service representative (which I had already done myself several times). Unfortunately the person on the phone did not have the information available to manually setup communication with the Orbit SmartHome Timer and my device (actually several devices = iPhones & iPads). But they did log my case details and said someone would call me this week that could supply these type details. Will update this thread when / if the issue is solved … may require a replacement unit.
