I’m having multiple issues with my newly installed B-Hyve. I emailed support a couple days ago about them, but haven’y heard back.
A new issue I’ve discovered is that in the Calendar on the app, it shows that only 1 of my 5 zones is scheduled to run for the next 2 weeks. But when I go into the Zones page and choose each zone, they all show the Next Watering Event for the following morning. Thinking maybe the calendar was just wrong, i left it run this morning but only the 1 zone listed in the calendar came on. After the time past that the other 4 were “suppose” to come on (according to the info in the Zones” page) but didn’t, the Zones now all say the Next Watering Event is tomorrow. But the Calendar still says only the 1 zone is scheduled.Spread the love!May 10, 2018 at 2:21 pm #1624Afitz23Participant
Just installed my unit last weekend but it’s having the exact same issues. Everything else seems to work fine but the Smart Watering feature has been very odd. Tomorrow’s schedule is set to water one zone twice for 10 minutes. How does that make any sense?!?!?! Orbit, please help! My MAC Address is: 44:67:55:40:53:C0Spread the love!May 10, 2018 at 2:53 pm #1627
I also see that on the ZONES page in the app that the zones that are not working show between 54-100% soil moisture. The 2 zones that say 100% haven’t been watered in 24 hours and they only came on then because I ran them through a test cycle.
It was 97 degrees here yesterday and hasn’t rained in quite a while. How can it say that those zones have 100% soil moisture. Or maybe I’m not understanding what the soil moisture reading is.
Maybe it has something to do with the weather forecast in the Calander, which like I mentioned in my email to support, doesn’t appear to be very accurate. It sometimes shows rain when our local forecast says sunny all day.
BTW, my MAC Address is 44:67:55:03:0B:10 Firmware is DEBUG-0010Spread the love!May 10, 2018 at 7:07 pm #1657
Hello Brookshire, Looking at your system everything seems to be in order. The two zones at 100% were watered yesterday and today. The rest of your zones also watered yesterday, and all of your zones besides the two zones reading 100% will water tomorrow. The soils moisture percentage updates automatically based off of the information you inputted for that zone, the most recent watering cycles, and the weather. Those at a high soil moisture level will not need watering, and will likely not have one scheduled until it drops a few degrees. As long as you have all of your smart details and address entered correctly you should be fine. You will want to update you address including your street line for more accurate weather readings. Also you do not have smart watering set up for your 5th zone, and is currently receiving no form of watering.Spread the love!May 10, 2018 at 7:11 pm #1658
hello afitz23, having one zone run two cycles for 10min each is very normal for a smart program. As long as you have all of your smart details, and full address entered correctly there should be no reason to worry.Spread the love!May 10, 2018 at 7:40 pm #1663
Thanks for your reply. No, only Zone #3 ran today. Currently (about 20 mins after your reply) Zone3 and Zone2 show 100% soil moisture in the app. Zone2 is dry right now. Zone1 also showed as 100% when I wrote the first post above, though has gone down to 83% now.
You said all the rest of the zones will water tomorrow (friday). The Home page on the B-Hyve app says I currently have a rain delay for 24 hours and that smart watering will begin watering at 8:00am Sunday. Even though there is no rain in the forecast. When I just now logged into my.orbitbhyve.com, it says “Your timer currently has a rain delay for 24 hours. Your next watering will be in 8 days.” Why is the information you have access to reporting differently than my app and why is the browser interface reporting something different than either of those?
It seems things aren’t getting synced up or something.
Thanks again.Spread the love!May 10, 2018 at 7:52 pm #1667
Hey Brookshire, Sorry the wordage was weird in my last post. I meant to say of the two zones that read 100% one of them (3) watered today and the other watered yesterday.
As for tomorrows watering, you are correct there is a 24 hour rain delay in effect. However if you were to clear it your zones 1, 4, and 6 would water. If you don’t then it will skip it and water zone 3 on Sunday.Spread the love!
