I was hoping someone could help me with this before irrigation season starts. I have some time but I’m highly frustrated as I’ve configured pretty specific watering cycles per zone that I’d hate to lose doing a hard reset!Spread the love!March 18, 2019 at 1:37 pm #76905
When I pull your timer up on my end it is online and receiving commands. Right now you have the timer set to off. If you return the timer to the auto position it should begin functioning for you again. You can do this from the app by going to settings>devices>your device>device run mode. You can toggle the device run mode to auto and it should work normally again.Spread the love!March 18, 2019 at 2:33 pm #76911
Sorry Gregory but I don’t see how that’s possible. I was going to post a screenshot but I guess I can’t do that. The app starts with “Add Device” and I can’t get past that. It can’t find my device no matter what I do. I’ve removed the app and re-installed multiple times. I’ve also tried on a different device and via the http portal. No dice!Spread the love!March 19, 2019 at 4:55 pm #76914
It may have to do with the account you are using to login to view the timer. What email address are you using when signing in to the application? Hopefully once you provide me the email address I will be able to get to the bottom of this for us.Spread the love!March 19, 2019 at 10:35 pm #76919March 20, 2019 at 4:18 pm #76923
I believe there is something strange going on with how your timer is communicating with our servers. Can you please email us at [email protected] and we can assist you further with your product?Spread the love!April 9, 2019 at 3:35 am #77091snowfiendParticipant

You may want to call them which is what I wound up having to do. I’m betting you’re having the same issue I had. It didn’t have anything to do with connectivity.Spread the love!April 24, 2019 at 7:22 pm #77256SYNCRONIXParticipant
Hi all I have a similar issue with my orbit it has major issues trying to pair to my internet modem, I have been able to connect twice since I bought it about 9 months ago however when the modem needs resetting the orbit won’t re pair easily.
I have an old 2.4ghz modem with 4g stick on it which it works every time in pairing, but not on our main fiber connection modem.
My first thoughts were the limitations of the orbit radio if it’s B or G not N?
Our main modem I mixed 2.4 and 5ghz Wi-Fi I have tried disabling the 5ghz for testing and pairing however no good. The 2.4ghz setting is auto and will support all mixed B G N.
The units are within 1 meter of each other and once connected never an issue.
The firmware 0032
and Mac is 44:67:55:02:4A:FB
I have it currently connected to an older modem using a 4g dongle but would love to get it connected to our main modem if there is any fix?
Thanks allSpread the love!April 26, 2019 at 8:55 am #77290StephenKeymaster
@synchronix What router are you using? You want to keep the 2.4 ghz separate from the 5 ghz network, we run into a lot of issues with blended networks. I would also suggest you make sure your firewall is set to low and that your MAC filtering is off.
We also see improved success if you swap to Google’s public DNS settings. 188.8.131.52 and 184.108.40.206
Give these a try and let me know how they work out!Spread the love!May 18, 2019 at 6:01 am #77477billw864Participant
OMG! Ready to throw in the trashcan! Installed Monday, installed and worked flawless unit Friday (3days) when I laid new sod…how convenient!
Will not connect, keeps doing a reboot dance with B flashing and digit segments spinning. Then when stable, will never connect to wifi and now can’t even connect Bluetooth. I have to jump out zones to run water and have been doing this since yesterday. Also when i try to connect to a different WiFi with a non published SSID, why does the app have no “apply or save” button. I can enter SSID, password and security type but no button to go any further than x in upper left corner. AWESOME!
I have tried the following numerous times…
Reset all routers in house
Reset and restore device to default
Reenter WiFi connection numerous times which never completes. (public and hidden SSID WiFi routers)
Coincidentally when I got it in the other day through Amazon, they sent me a second one bu mistake which I paid for. I got the label so send back and get credit but I am contemplating opening it up and installing it to try and throw other one in box and send back.
I’d like to say it needs a firmware upgrade but I think unreachable…44:67:55:41:D2:BF firmware 0020
I work with networking connections for a living with building automation systems but this one is a struggle.
Any suggestions out there? Is it beer o’clock?

Sounds like some people may be looking in the app, Settings >Last Connected: Date at time
Thats when it last connected to the server not your wifi.Spread the love!May 19, 2019 at 8:07 am #77481billw864Participant
Ok..figured it out but not corrected…need help from staff.
I installed another new one out of box and worked flawless until it got pushed the flash upgrade to 020. Both came out of the box as 016 firmware and once put at 020, it disconnects from the wifi to never reconnect again.
I can connect locally Bluetooth to monitor, adjust schedule but try to reconnect to wifi but will never connect. It goes through the motions in the steps to select Wifi connection and enter password and then the next screen goes to the home screen showing it is disconnected. I have 2 routers and a neighbor allowed me to try to connect with his and all 3 routers have full signal to this device so not a router issue.
So to reiterate…clearly works the bomb to configure and even reconfigure the wifi connection at firmware016 and once firmware020 is pushed to the device, it disconnects and will never reconnect…not even for a second.
Any suggestuions on how to get it back to 016 without a connection for orbit to do? Otherwise it goes back in the box and try something else.

I have LG V20 and it seems that the app just dropped the connection to the bhive timer.
Timer is on the wifi at home and it has an IP address but the app can’t see it via bluetooth and Wifi.
Online at bhive website, I can log in with no issues.

I’m extremely disappointed in this controller! First version worked “ok” till they produced units with duplicate MAC addresses and mine stopped working. They sent me a replacement unit for free that’s HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!! multiple station/pump faults triggered on known working valves/pump relays. I fully intend to upgrade to another brand/model! Don’t buy this thing as you’ll be disappointed.Spread the love!
