Just replaced a RainBird controller with B-Hyve. Have a few question during install and programming before the watering season.
Is the best place to get the latest Android App from the PlayStore?
Is the SMART program an all or nothing? Can several zones be SMART and others be A/B/C manual program?
Question the FAULT monitor. This seems to look for zone shorts. From my experience the most likely fault is a zone open caused by a corroded connection or solenoid coil failure. The FAQ on Faults is incorrect. A 0 (zero) ohm reading is a short not an open as said in the FAQ. An open is infinity ohms.
Does the B-Hyve controller firmware receive updates? How managed?
Is there a better way to ask questions rather than using a Forum?
    Thanks….

    Hello RCC344,

    Thanks for your questions!

The Play Store is the best place to get the most up to date apps.
Smart can be on any number of stations, but it does not need to be on all of them.
I will have to double check our Help page on Faults.
The controller does update automatically when we push new firmware out. It will go out overnight and most of the time, you won’t even know its chagned.
You can send any questions to [email protected]

    thank you,
    Stephen
