ParticipantI’ve recently purchased the B-Hyve Smart Hose Faucet Timer. The product is working really well, and has successfully connected to my home wifi, and I’m able to control the timer through the B-Hyve app without issues.
I use an iPhone, and regularly control smart devices like this through the Google Home app, which works really well for me.
In trying to set up the B-Hyve product through Google Home, I’ve been able to successfully link B-Hyve to the Google Home app, and add the device. However, every time I go to control the device, it is “not responding” and listed as offline. It never has been able to work for me, and has never connected in this app.
I’ve used the settings in the B-Hyve app to ensure the right device (I’ve only got 1!) is set up for Google/Alexa in settings. The B-Hyve app works fine, so I’m assuming there’s no issues with connectivity to wifi, etc. I just can’t figure out why it’s never worked in the Google Home app though. Any ideas on how to fix this?

ParticipantSame problem here, did you find a fix?

ParticipantI also have the same problem, orbit support were useless and eventually sent me to another company to support who said they need to log it with orbit. Got nowhere with it, complete waste of money and time.

ParticipantI quite a few smart devices connected to Google and in some cases it required a bit of trouble shooting but this one has stumped me. Unlinking/Linking, moving device closer, rebooting router, reconfirming wifi connection in app, seeing it and my google device on same network in router settings, it’s likely a software issue at their end …🤷🏼♂️

ParticipantFunnily enough, I (sort of) found a solution.
There’s a few things I learnt-
I’ve got 3 faucet timers, and it appears that only one can connect with Google Home at a time (ie. not all 3). Annoying, but that’s the way it seems to work.
Controlling the device doesn’t work on the iOS Google Home app at all. Every time I click on the device (all linked properly, as far as I can tell), it still consistently comes up telling me that it’s not responding, and the device is offline.
Having said all of that, I recently purchased myself a Google Home Hub, and much to my surprise, the voice controls work absolutely fine on here, and I’m now able to control the device with voice!
As to why the iOS app consistently tells me it’s offline, yet voice controls work on the Google Home Hub, I’ve got no idea. Clearly the connection is fine. Interestingly, the voice controls don’t work on the iOS app either.
Hopefully that helps a little?

ParticipantThanks. My Google responds and says its turning on B-Hyve Sprinkler but the B-Hyve doesn’t actually turn on for me.
