ParticipantCat unless it has the abcd timer button don’t get it. My Lowe’s has signage and stickers on the one I purchased stating HomeKit capabale and it’s not yet. You can buy one with the abcd button and when the firmware is released it will be compatible.

ParticipantROBMEHRER, thanks for the info. From what I am reading here, I might wait until the firmware comes out.

KeymasterCAT, if your purchased timer has an ABCD program button, then it is the homekit compatible timer. There is no indicator on the outside of the box that it is homekit compatible, but if you purchase one and it doesn’t have the D on th eprogram button, contact our support team and we’ll be able to resolve that for you.
However, Homekit certification has not yet been achieved and we are still working on it. While the hardware is ready, the software is not.

ParticipantMy Home Depot has the Orbit signs that have the homekit badge as well but I checked inside several boxes and they are all the A B C version. My guess is that the signs were sent to the stores with instructions on when to put them up and they were put up early. I’ll just keeping checking back.

ParticipantI recently bought one with ABCD program button (from orbitonline). I cannot find the HomeKit setup code on the device or the packaging. Does anyone know where I can find it?

ParticipantHomeKit is not available yet. Once it becomes available with a firmware update, I’m sure Orbit will provide us with instructions on how to add it.

ParticipantI just bought and installed the 12 station version. The firmware says – DEBUG-0010. Is Orbit planning to update it?

KeymasterWe are still working on the Homekit Certification. The firmware that the ABCD timer is being release on DEBUG-0010, but will be updated to version 21 shortly.

ParticipantWill the indoor timer be homekit certified as well? I noticed at Home Depot today they have a banner up for the indoor timer that has a homekit badge, but the boxes themselves don’t have the badge.

ParticipantFrom several posts and also email replies, I believe Orbit is working on Apple approval for homekit support before they can roll out the app that supports homekit. My guess is this process must be taking much longer than they had planned. I’m not Orbit, I’m just a customer.

ParticipantThat doesn’t answer my question. All of the homekit posts in this thread have referred to the outdoor timer with the buttons, so I’m clear there that the outdoor timers with the A B C D buttons will receive homekit support. My question is will the indoor timer also receive homekit support? Or has Home Depot made a mistake with the signage?

ParticipantI found an ABCD unit today as well (in an ABC box).
Still hoping to hear back from Orbit on whether the current indoor unit will be homekit compatible with an update as well.
