ParticipantI just installed a new b-hyve timer and set up smart watering. This morning when the timer ran, all zones were successfully watered, but the entire time the app (IOS) displayed Zone 1 with 0 minutes remaining. Should the app not update during watering to display the zone currently being watered? I closed the app re-opened, but it still showed Zone 1 with 0 minutes remaining even though it was already on Zone 3. I searched the forums, but found no relevant topics. Am I just doing something stupid?
Thanks

ParticipantRyan,
On the home screen in the app, as soon as I loaded the app during a watering cycle. Where I believe it would normally display information on the zone being watered, but zone 1 was the only one displayed. I should have taken a screen shot. Mac address is below, please let me know if you need anything else. Thanks for the help.

ParticipantThanks Ryan. I have been waiting for a dry day to check this, but we have yet to have one. But based on a manual run I think this is likely sorted out. If there are still issues when the timer finally runs, I will let you know. Thanks for the help.

ParticipantRyan,
My B-hyve ran for the first time this morning and I had the same problem with the app. After the B-hyve finished watering, I was able to reset the app to match the B-hyve’s actual status (including updating the next watering time and watering history) by hitting the stop watering button. Almost feels like an app or API problem rather than a firmware problem, but it can’t hurt to update the firmware. Can you update it for me? The MAC address is 44:67:55:02:CB:D6. Thanks!
P.S. – Self-service firmware updates would be a nice feature.

ParticipantApologies for the delay in response, we had endless rain where the timer was on constant rain delay. Now that it has done a few scheduled watering cycles this is still an issue, so the firmware update does not seem to have corrected it (I am on 0023). I saw another thread where this was attributed to an App issue, but they also appear to be on a higher FW version so I thought I would reach out and get your thoughts.

Participant@jritter, Is it possible that either your phone or app aren’t currently up to date? If they both are then this is most likely one of the issues being address in the next app update. Our developers are currently working on getting it released. However I don’t have a date for when it will be available.

ParticipantI am on the current (1.7.25) IOS app. I am one version behind on my OS. I doubt that would cause this but was going to update it anyway so we will see if that helps. Otherwise I will wait for the next release, it is not a priority since the system is watering correctly. Should I have more updated firmware, or am I good with 0023?

ParticipantHello Jritter, 23 is currently the most up to date firmware version for your timer. You could also try factory resetting your timer (setting it to off then holding down the reset button until all functions show on your timer screen), unplugging your ribbon cable for 5 seconds, and then after you plug it back in updating your Wi-Fi settings. This will most likely fix any connections issues your timer could be having with your phone/app. Pleas let me know if I can help with anything else!

ParticipantI have this same issue. Seems like an app problem. The controller runs fine. Just the app is stuck showing zone 1 with zero seconds. this started a few weeks ago for me. Worked fine before and I’ve had this device for over a year. I have a screen shot but can’t uoload it here?

ParticipantSame problem here and it’s been ongoing for a month or more. The “wheel” is full on the zone that runs first, then no status appears for any of the following zones. The wheel just remains stuck showing completion of the first. It’s not a problem with the timer because the status appears fine on my android device. (Yes, mY iOS OS is up to date. I’ve turned iOS off and back on again. Done all the typical IT fixes. None worked. Time for an app fix.)

Participant@Schooner & zsgeagle, If you’d give me your mac address I can check to make sure tour timers are up to date. After that please try the previously posted suggestions.

ParticipantHello zsgeagle, Just letting you know your timer’s firmware was already at the current version. What app version are you currently using? What you may want to try is factory resetting your timer, unplugging your ribbon cable for 5 seconds, and then update your Wi-Fi settings. If your issue continues after that please let me know.
