I went out this past week to see how my back yard was looking, since the temperatures have been climbing into the 90s here in Albuquerque. What I saw shocked me–4″ of standing water on my lawn! Expensive! Water wasting! Lawn killing! All the reasons I bought a B-hyve to prevent!

I can no longer trust “smart watering” until I figure out why my results are so terrible. Total watering said something like 1 hr 26 mins for my programmed CLAY soil! This is not the results I had hoped for.

You may want to check your settings and edit each zones watering schedule adjustments.

Yeah, the problem is that this was out of the blue. It had been watering fine the week before. The only change I made was weather adjustments.

I’ve taken a look at all of your settings and the only thing I see is that your zone 2 was set to water for and hour and 16min. I’m not sure what is was set at the time you had flooding. However the other 3 zones were around like 5 min, 20, and 18. It looks like somehow a setting was adjusted for your zone 2 and that is why you have flooding.

If you want to use smart watering again you will need to adjust the watering schedule adjustments. At the top of that page it will show you the current estimated duration for that zone. The calendar shows interval between each watering in days for each month.
