I have a new B-Hyve 57950. Using the Android app. The app pairs to the time using Bluetooth just fine. I get to the the point where it says “Device Found! Your device needs to connect to your network from the list below.”

But my wifi network does not appear in the list – there are a few others but not mine. I have tried 2.4 and 5GHZ w/ and w/o encryption and public SSID and rebooted access point/router. My other devices see the networks – I can use the and get to the internet.

If I go to Advanced and type in the SSID, open, use DHCP is on, and Connect to Network, it says “connecting” and then “unable to find the access point, please verifiy the SSID or move the device closer.”

Is there some compatibility issues with a particular wifi?

If you can’t get your timer to connect there are a few different thing you can do.
    1. reset the device connection
    2. update the Wi-Fi settings
    3. Factory reset the timer and try updating the Wi-Fi settings
    4. power cycle your timer, then while it is unplugged you could unplug and re-plug the ribbon cable back in. and then if needed Factory reset the timer and try updating the Wi-Fi settings
    5. reset your router. power cycle your timer, then while it is unplugged you could unplug and re-plug the ribbon cable back in. and then if needed Factory reset the timer and try updating the Wi-Fi settings
    6. If the Wi-Fi symbol is display an exclamation mark it is connected to your router, but not receiving internet. those are issues not with the timer. If the suggestions above don’t help you will need to contact your ISP.
    7. If it doesn’t connect after all of that, there was no exclamation mark, or you need any other help please let us know.

Hi Ryan. I did those things already. I don’t get a ! error because it never accepts the configuration of the wifi at all. Everybody else connects to the network. It seems the timer is incompatible with my access point. If I turn on a wifi hotspot on my phone, I can get it to connect so I can rule out ISP or other issues.

That’s why my question is if there are known compatibility issues with wifi devices? Or some wifi requirements? I hoping it’s not that it just doesn’t work with my wifi.

Also, maybe give me a newer firmware. I can use the hotspot to connect up and download it.
