B-hyve Hose Timer – Gen 2 – B-hyve Smart Watering

Since the launch of our first smart watering device in 2016, we’ve strived to provide the best in smart watering capabilities. Our Smart Hose Timer was the first of its kind and while it’s still a great device, it’s time for the next iteration.

Here’s where the Gen 2 B-hyve Hose Timer comes in. In the last few years, there have been great advancements in technology that the B-hyve Hose Timer hasn’t been able to take advantage of. With the new Gen 2 timer, we’re able to update some internal components for a stronger Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connection as well as an improved range. The new version of the timer also gave us the opportunity to improve on the battery drawer to better prevent water ingress.

The new timers will utilize the Gen 2 Wi-Fi hub, the same hub that powers the Wi-Fi capabilities of the B-hyve XD line of hose timers and B-hyve Leak Detectors.

Not sure which timer to buy?

If you already have a Gen 1 timer and Wi-Fi hub and are looking to expand your system, get another Gen 1 timer. This will let you run both of your timers on the same Gen 1 hub without needing to purchase the Gen 2 Wi-Fi hub.
If this is your first B-hyve hose timer or you currently have a B-hyve XD or Leak Detectors with a Gen 2 Wi-Fi hub, get the Gen 2 timer. You’ll have the most up-to-date system and your Gen 2 hub will be compatible with all Gen 2 B-hyve products.
